As the New Year begins, Jetion Solar is pleased to announce a significant milestone: the company has successfully entered into a supply agreement for 100 MW of heterojunction photovoltaic (PV) modules with a key partner in Bulgaria. This agreement not only deepens the existing cooperative relationship between the two parties but also sets a solid foundation for Jetion Solar's development in the coming year.
Under the terms of the agreement, Jetion Solar will deliver its Jeniüs N-HJT heterojunction modules to support Bulgaria’s growing demand for renewable energy throughout 2025. As one of the leading producers and exporters of electricity in Eastern Europe, Bulgaria is actively promoting the construction of PV projects within its borders. According to the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), Bulgaria's installed solar power capacity stood at 2,937 MW by the end of 2023. In line with its National Energy and Climate Plan (NECP), Bulgaria aims to have renewables account for 34.7% of its electricity consumption by 2030, with solar energy expected to play a crucial role in achieving this goal.
It is reported that the Bulgarian customer has previously purchased some of Jetion Solar's heterojunction modules for local projects, which received high praise after deployment. Customer feedback indicates that the modules not only fully meet the expected quality standards but also exhibit excellent power generation performance in practical applications, significantly enhancing system efficiency and economic benefits. Impressed by the quality and performance of the products, the customer has decided to increase their procurement quantity to 100 MW, demonstrating full confidence in Jetion Solar's technology and services.
Since rolling out its first heterojunction cell in 2023, Jetion Solar's 2.4 GW intelligent factory has ramped up production, driving the industrialization of heterojunction technology. The company has achieved notable milestones, including obtaining product certification for heterojunction modules and the world's first product certification for heterojunction cells. Moreover, it has reached a third-party certified efficiency of 26.1% for cells, with a champion cell efficiency of 26.6%, and the highest module power output of 745 W. During this period, Jetion Solar's heterojunction products have steadily met the demand for high-efficiency PV modules in both domestic and international markets.
With these outstanding technical specifications and reliable supply capabilities, we look forward to showcasing the advantages of heterojunction modules—such as high conversion efficiency, excellent temperature coefficient, high reliability, and low carbon footprint—through more practical applications by our customers. Choosing Jetion Solar's heterojunction modules represents an ideal choice for energy investors seeking high efficiency and environmental protection, offering long-term stable returns on investment.
This renewed partnership with the Bulgarian customer not only strengthens Jetion Solar's position in the Eastern European market but also provides robust support for the region's green energy transition. Moving forward, Jetion Solar will continue to deepen cooperation with companies in the Central and Eastern European region, committed to providing efficient and environmentally friendly PV solutions to more customers and jointly advancing the goals of energy independence and low-carbon development.
